MacBook Pro Retina Review

Intro
The MacBook Pro Retina is as powerful as it is beautiful. The display is stunning, the performance is outstanding, and the experience is a pleasure. This was my first experience with a Mac and I just wish I had hopped on the Apple train a long time ago.

The Build
I purchased the base model which I spec'd up to the 2.6GHz processor, with 16GB RAM and a 256GB SSD. The price of this spec came to $2,599 (AUD). Although I was hesitant on spending this much initially, in retrospect I am all too glad I went ahead with my purchase.
As I mentioned before, this is my first experience with a Mac, but the build quality was definitely the first stand out for me as compared to other notebooks. The body is so thin, yet so solid, yet so light. I initially was looking at purchasing the MacBook Air because of its thin and light form factor, but I needed the power of the MB Pro. I was happy they brought out this new model as it met both my needs and my wants.

Feed Their Priorities - Don't fight them
Most students are young adults, who often have their priorities a little out of line. What might be important for them is most likely low on your list of priorities. Instead of fighting this issue, put this fact of life into your corner. Now, I'm not recommending that you go out and buy the most expensive piece of equipment on the market just to make your student happy. Laptops Review-Compaq Presario CQ58-A10NR 15.6-Inch Laptop

Compaq Review - Compaq Presario CQ58-a10NR
The Compaq Presario CQ58-a10NR is very different from many laptops because it uses the AMD E series APU. This is a sort of a bridge between the C series processors used in the netbook style systems and the A series used in traditional laptops. It uses the same power as most of the A series but has lower clock speeds meaning less performance. Thus, by using an E-1200 dual core processor combined with 2GB of DDR3 memory and Compaq Presario Keyboard, the system can handle the basics of email, web browsing and word processing but it certainly isn't a smooth experience as laptops in the same price range using the AMD

A series processor or the Intel Pentium. It definitely has problems for those that are doing multitasking and is not suited at all to something like desktop video editing.

Prices
Laptop computers are more pricy than their desktop counterparts. It is because the cost of manufacturing is a lot higher as compared to the latter. Things that can affect the price of the product include the weight, the specifications and the size the screen.

What to Look For When Buying a New Laptop ?

The price of laptops has gone down tremendously over the last few years. Not too long ago a decent laptop would easily have set you back a few thousand dollars. These days, you can pick up a good laptop for as low as $500.00 at your local Walmart. But with thousands of laptops to choose from, and more coming out every week, how do you pick the one that’s right for you? Below are 5 tips to help you make the right decision when looking to buy a new laptop.

1). Determine Your Needs

The first step in figuring out which laptop is right for you is to determine your unique needs. Most students for example would place the emphasis on price, portability, and battery life. In that situation you should look for a laptop with a 14- or 15-inch display. A larger screen means a heavier and bulkier "laptop", making it more uncomfortable to carry around. Larger screens also deplete the battery at a much faster rate.
